Find.
You can’t fix a problem if you don’t know where it’s coming from. Our inspection process averages 4-5 hours and includes a complete, thorough inspection with infrared cameras, moisture meters, and most importantly, highly trained eyes. Every area of the home is evaluated including basements, crawl spaces, attics and even HVAC systems.
Prove.
Not every suspected area is mold contaminated, and not all contaminated areas are equal in magnitude. We need to prove the presence of mold to develop a complete remediation strategy, and to also create a prioritization list if necessary. Our testing process includes all key areas of your home, such as: HVAC, hidden structural components, and belongings.
Remove.
A true mold remediation includes two phases; first is removing the sources of contamination. If these aren’t removed, then no cleaning will ever be successful. The second phase is removing the spores, fragments, and mycotoxins left behind by the mold sources. We create this customized step-by-step plan and provide resources for guiding your remediator.

Mold has become widely recognized across the functional medicine community as the root cause of a variety of illnesses and health conditions. There’s more to mold than basic allergic reactions. We’re talking auto-immune diseases, leaky gut, eczema/psoriasis, stealth infections, and even brain damage. This is why most mold-literate doctors will tell you the first step to recovery is properly identifying and removing the mold from your home. And this is why we take it so seriously. Here are some common health conditions that are heavily impacted by mold exposure: (Click each to learn more*)
CIRS (Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome)
Chronic Inflammatory Response syndrome was the original “mold illness” diagnosis. About 24% of people are genetically predisposed to not detox environmental contaminants properly. This creates a toxic buildup in the body that results in chronic inflammation. And chronic inflammation is the cornerstone of chronic disease. So eliminating mold exposure on a home is a MUST for someone diagnosed with CIRS.
Lyme Disease & Mold Illness
This shape shifter bacteria thrives when someone’s immune system is overloaded. This is why mold and Lyme disease are so connected. Like mold, Lyme disease has many symptoms and can impact every system in your body. So if your immune system is busy fighting mold exposure from your home, then your body doesn’t stand a chance against Lyme disease and it’s co-infections.
Auto-Immune Disease & Mold Illness
Mold exposure is a major factor in the autoimmune-inflammation space that is often overlooked. It can either be the root cause of an auto-immune condition, or continue to perpetuate the inflammatory storm that makes it thrive. In either case, when someone has a mold issue in their home, the continued exposure makes any treatment protocol far less effective.
PANS // PANDAS & Mold Illness
Mycotoxins created by molds are neurotoxic. Meaning they are toxins that affect the brain. This toxic stress on the brain can be the root cause of PANS, exacerbate existing PANS/PANDAS, or even result in a PANS/PANDAS misdiagnosis. Eliminating mold from the home is paramount when trying to overcome these conditions.

We just wrapped up our mold inspection, and all I can say is that anybody who needs a mold inspector because of a bad ERMI, I would without hesitation hire We Inspect. They're lightyears ahead of the inspectors I've contracted locally. I cannot recommend them enough.

I have been looking for over a year for a company that actually knows what they are talking about; somehow I saw your company on an instagram reel. I was near giving up but after speaking with you I finally have hope that I can help my daughter and my family now.

If there is mold in my home, why isn’t my entire family reacting?
There are 3 main reasons why some people react to mold exposure in their homes, while other do not:
Genetic Predisposition – Approximately 24% of the population are unable to detoxify mold due to the expression of the HLA-DR gene. This means even a small exposure can create a severe reaction.
Previous Exposures – Mold exposure can literally retrain your body’s response to environmental contaminants at the cellular level. This can create auto-immune response in your body that can impact you for years in the future.
Current Health Position – Mold at its core is an immunosuppressant. So if your immune system is already compromised (ie. Lyme disease, auto-immune disease, cancer, etc.) then adding mold to the mix can be catastrophic.
What if we don't have water damage or leaks?
In most homes, we discover signs of historical leaks that the homeowner wasn’t aware of. Historical water damage means you don’t need water today to have a problem. And just because water-damage happened years ago and dried up, does not mean the mold just went away.
Our data shows that mold is hiding behind 8 of every 10 water-damaged areas in any given home, so we’ll complete a thorough inspection to find these specific areas and test appropriately.
So, is sampling really necessary?
Short answer: YES
Without sampling we won’t know where the mold is hiding and the full extent of the overall issue. This means we won’t be able to create an effective remediation plan. And isn’t that our entire goal?
Does remediation actually work?
There are only two (2) reasons remediation doesn’t work; you either didn’t find the source(s) or you didn’t properly remove them.
By working with We Inspect, we handle the first part. Our remediation plans address the second part for you to ensure you’re not wasting precious time and money. Additionally, we provide remediation resources and referrals so you can get the job done right.
Do you work with insurance companies? And do they cover this?
No, we don’t work directly with insurance, but we’ve had clients who have had success with getting coverage. There’s a strategy you’ll want to employ for the best chance of success that we’ve outlined succinctly in Episode No. 52 of the #moldfinders: RADIO Podcast titled “Mold Insurance Playbook”.
Why do I have to apply to work with you?
Great question. Although nationwide, we’re still a small business at heart, and offer a limited amount of inspections per month. And as you can imagine, the logistics for coordinating an inspection are thorough so we ask up-front for potential clients to provide the details to make this process as smooth as possible for our team, and most importantly, for you.
So, how do we work together? Do you do remediation too?
We will personally fly to your home, find the hidden mold and biotoxins, create a customized remediation plan, and guide you through the process. We do not perform any remediation work ourselves because it’s a conflict of interest for the same company to handle both inspection and remediation. Once remediation protocols are determined, we’ll help you by referring remediators.
How do I know if I'm qualified or not?
Just take 3-5 mins to complete the application and you’ll instantly know the next steps for moving forward.
And what happens if I'm not qualified?
That’s OK. You did absolutely nothing wrong, and we have resources that can help you. But, guess what? You’ll never know if you don’t apply.
Yay! I'm qualified... Now what?
Congrats! When you’re qualified, we give you the freedom to book a consultation at your leisure. We’ll be looking forward to meeting you during that initial call and discussing your situation.
